Lizzie MORRIS

Her sister Eileen O’Neill, along with the nieces, nephews and wider family circle of the late Lizzie Morris would like to express their sincere gratitude to all those who sympathised with them during their recent sad bereavement.

Our sincere thanks to all who called at Lizzie’s wake, attended the removal of her remains to the most Sacred Heart Chapel, Rock, attended her funeral mass or sent mass and sympathy cards. Your thoughtfulness brought us much comfort at this sad time.

A special word of thanks to all the staff at Ashbrook Care Home who cared for Lizzie so well in the latter years of her long life. Their dedication and kindness will always be remembered. We would also like to convey our thanks to carers in the community who helped to look after Lizzie in her home for many years prior to this. A special word of thanks also to the staff of the Garvin Practice and especially to Dr Herron for her professional and compassionate care of Lizzie.

We are especially grateful to Fr Laurence Boyle PP for his attendance at Lizzie’s wake and beautiful Requiem Mass. Thanks also to Fr Garrett Campbell and Fr David Moore for attending the wake and Canon Benny Fee for administering last rites to Lizzie. Thanks to the sacristans for preparing the chapel and the gravediggers in Cookstown for preparing Lizzie’s final resting place.

We are most grateful to all who contributed to the Mass, including the beautiful music by Emma O’Neill and Eamon McGarrity and to Stephen Mallon for the lovely flowers.

We would like to thank our colleagues at Glenavon Hotel for the guard of honour as Lizzie made her last journey from the Rock to Cookstown for interment and for the funeral dinner afterwards.

We are most grateful to Joanna & Michael of Niall A. Loughran Funeral Directors for the kind, considerate, professional, and dignified manner with which the funeral and interment were managed.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a sincere gesture of the family's gratitude.

Lizzie’s month's mind mass will be held on Sunday 5th October at 9.30am in the Church of the most Holy Trinity Cookstown and can also be viewed using the link below.
