Maeve Hanna (née Gavin)
Aughnaskew Road,
Maguiresbridge,
Co Fermanagh.
Liam, Stephen and John, sons of the late Maeve Hanna wish to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to everyone who offered their sympathies and support to us during our recent bereavement. We are truly grateful to everyone who attended the wake, funeral and sent messages of condolences including those who travelled long distances to be with us, to all who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, and to those who made donations to The M.S. Society in Mum’s memory, your kindness, prayers and support have brought us great comfort. Our heartfelt thanks goes to our extended family, friends and neighbours for their generosity, kindness and outstanding support they give to us in so many ways during this time. We wish to thank the many family and friends who provided Mum with great friendship, support and companionship throughout her life- particularly in recent years and during her final hospital stay. Your presence and kindness, along with all the fun and laughter, meant a great deal to her and to us. Heartfelt gratitude to Fr Pearce for the most beautiful, personal and fitting Funeral Mass, to Karen and Dr John for the incredible music, to the Eucharistic Ministers, and to all who participated so graciously in the funeral Mass. To Gary for making sure the paths to and around mum’s grave were gritted, thank you. A special word of thanks is also extended to St Marys Hall Committee for kindly providing refreshments following the burial. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Gortacharn nursing home and all their staff who cared for Mum during her time there. We are grateful to Mum’s G.P. and healthcare teams for their dedication and compassion. To the staff at S.W.A.H. especially the palliative care team who treated Mum with such dignity and compassion during her final few days we can never thank you enough We extend our sincere thanks to Ollie, Ann, Leo and Conor at Swift and McCaffrey Funeral Directors for their guidance, pastoral care, dignity and compassion with which the way everything was handled and to those who prepared Mum’s final resting place with such attention and care. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our sincere gratitude and appreciation.
Maeve’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Marys Church, Maguiresbridge on Saturday 7th February at 6 pm.
