The death has occurred of:
Malachy Lowry
Malachy’s wife Elizabeth, children Martin, Deborah, Damien and granddaughter Niamh wish to express their sincere and heartfelt thanks to all their family, friends, neighbours and the wider community who offered help, support, very kind words and prayers during their very sad bereavement.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended Malachy’s wake and funeral, sent Mass Cards, offered prayers and messages of sympathy.
Special thanks to our family, friends and neighbours, particularly Louise and Fiona, who helped organise for the wake, helped make tea and refreshments and offered their assistance when it was needed most, we are truly grateful. It was a testament to how well liked Malachy was and your help will never be forgotten.
Special thanks to Monsignor McCanny for his regular visits to Malachy while he was at home, offering his spiritual guidance and support and for celebrating his Requiem Mass. His beautiful homily was a fitting tribute.
Our heartfelt thanks to all those who provided care for Malachy. The staff in Ward 40 Altnagelvin Hospital, particularly Dr. Liz Young for their care and kindness. Sincere thanks to all the carers, District nurses, Marie Curie and Foyle Hospice nurses for their amazing help and support. Their care and compassion helped us through a very difficult period.
Thank you to McLaughlin’s Funeral Directors, Deborah, Seamus and all of the team for a very professional, warm and caring service. The funeral arrangements were carried out in a very dignified manner. They organised everything from providing refreshments for the wake to supplying floral arrangements for the wake and funeral.
Thank you to Mary and everyone at Bethany Community Centre for providing refreshments after the burial and for the facilities provided.
As it is would be impossible to thank everyone individually we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a heartfelt expression of our gratitude.
Eternal rest grant unto his soul, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
St. Padre Pio intercede for him.
