Margaret McAteer (née Sweeney)
McAteer (née Sweeney) Ballyholland, died 8th February 2026 peacefully at her home, Garden Cottage, 35 Lower Ballyholland Road, aged 98 years, surrounded by her loving family. Margaret RIP. Wife of the late John. Mother of Patrick, Martin, John, Kevin, Raymond and Roseann. Mother-in-law of Kathleen, Lorraine, Dominic and the late Joanne. Grandmother of John, Laura, Richard and Conor. Sacred Heart of Jesus have Mercy on her Soul.
Her remains will repose at her home from 12pm on Monday and Tuesday. Removal on Wednesday at 11:15am for 12:00 noon requiem mass in St. Mary’s Church, Chapel Street. Burial afterwards in Monkshill Cemetery.
Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons, daughter, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, family circle and many friends.
