The death has occurred of:
Margaret McNULTY (née Daly)
7th January 2026
Clare Ann, Maria, Mairéad and Barry, the family of the late Margaret McNulty (R.I.P.), Aughaboy, who passed away on January 7th, 2026, wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to all who supported us during our recent sad bereavement.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who called to the wake, brought Mass and sympathy cards, sent messages, sent flowers, and attended the Funeral Mass, many of whom travelled long distances in poor weather conditions. Your presence and kindness brought great comfort.
A special word of thanks to our families, relatives, neighbours and friends whose help throughout the wake was invaluable. Your thoughtfulness, generosity and efficiency were a true reflection of our mother.
Our sincere appreciation goes to all who cared for mummy, both at home and in hospital, the warmth, compassion, and dignity shown to her meant so much to us. Special thanks also to mummy’s relatives, neighbours and friends who offered additional support and comfort during her short illness. We also extend heartfelt thanks to the team at Drumragh Family Practice and Paddy McMahon and his team at Castle Pharmacy for their attentive and responsive support.
To Michael and Seamus McGuigan of McGuigan Funeral Directors, thank you for the professional and caring manner in which all arrangements were carried out. Your guidance and organisation made an incredibly difficult time more bearable.
We are especially grateful to Fr. James Devine for his pastoral care throughout mummy’s illness, and to Fr. Peter Clarke and Fr. John Forbes who concelebrated the Requiem Mass. Their presence, the participation of each of mummy’s grandchildren, the beautiful music by Donna Taggart and the touching tin whistle piece performed by mummy’s granddaughter Clodagh, made her Mass deeply personal and meaningful. A word of thanks also to Mary T, Eucharistic Minister and Sacristan Patsy, for their quiet efficiency.
Our thanks also to our neighbours, P&G Engineering for providing parking during the wake, and to all who assisted with traffic co-ordination and gritting during both the wake and the funeral. We are also grateful to the grave diggers who prepared mummy’s place of rest with such care and attention, to everyone who provided food, those who provided transport, the Rouskey Community Centre and Mossey's on Main Street for the refreshments after Mass, and to Morris Polytunnels for providing the marquee. A special mention also to those from Gortin St Patrick's and Badoney Ladies for their Guard of Honour, your support is much appreciated.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our sincere appreciation for your support, kindness, and sympathy during our time of loss. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Mummy's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Mary's Church Rouskey on Friday 6th February at 7.30pm.
A Chroí Ro-Naofa Íosa, déan trócaire ar a hanam.
