The family of the late Marie Devlin 29 Baladoogh Lane, Killeenan would like to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all our kind relatives, friends and neighbours who supported us during our recent sad bereavement.

Our sincere gratitude to Fr. Hughes and Fr. Curry for their spiritual support and guidance and for celebrating the beautiful Requiem Mass.

A special word of thanks to the Eucharistic Ministers, the Church Sacristan and Mums grandchildren Zara and Emily Devlin for providing the lovely music and singing which made the Funeral Mass so special along with Mums eldest granddaughter Christelle for the beautiful reflection of Mums life. And to all of Mums grandchildren and great grandchildren who took part in celebrating mums life.

Our family would like to thank everyone who helped care for our Mother especially the dedicated team of Carers from Marie Curie, Macmillan Cancer support, Charis and to Alishand Bridie from the community Hospice team who all took outstanding care of Mum in recent months.

An extended mention of thanks must go to our close family members who helped us care for mum with such dignity and respect during her short illness, and for keeping mums spirits up until her very last day.

To the Doctors, nurses and staff at Grahams Practice in Loy Street Cookstown especially Dr Potter for her care and compassion to mum and to us as a family and to the staff of Gordon’s Pharmacy, Also to the District nurses and the dedicated nursing team from Cookstown Community Nursing and the hospital diversion team Magherafelt for all their care and support.

We are indebted to all those who supported us, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, messages, wreathes, floral tributes, and expressed their condolences via telephone and social media. Thank you to our wonderful neighbours and friends who looked after the parking during Mums wake and to our dear family and friends who worked tirelessly with tea, sandwiches and to those who brought food and refreshments. We took great comfort on the morning of mums funeral from the support of our close family, friends and everyone who lined the funeral cortege route, from those who joined us at the Chapel, and from those who viewed from England, Australia and online.

A special word of thanks to the gravediggers who prepared Mums resting place with great care and to An Creagán for the beautiful funeral lunch and to all those who helped us in any way.

We would sincerely like to thank Colleen of Niall A Loughran funeral directors for their very efficient, dignified and professional manner in which they carried out all the funeral arrangements during these difficult times.

As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a small gesture of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

Our Mothers Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on 23rd of November 2023 at 7.30pm in Killeenan Chapel, Kildress and can be viewed on the link below.
