Acknowledgement.
Marie Gavin,
Tattyreagh Road, Fintona, Co Tyrone.
Died 19th September 2025.

The family of the late Marie, wish to extend our deep gratitude and warmest thanks to everyone who offered their condolences, prayers, and support during our recent sad bereavement. Marie was a widely respected lady, devoted wife of the late Patrick, adored mother of Bridget, Siobhan, Deirdre and Patrick, mother in law of Des, Charlie and Angela, much loved grandmother and great grandmother, and a very dear sister-in-law, aunt, and friend.

Thank you to everyone who called to the wake house, helped or brought food, this was greatly appreciated. Our thanks also to those who sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages, or flowers, lined the funeral route and to those who joined us at the Requiem Mass.

We are blessed to have had the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, throughout this difficult time, this has helped us in so many ways to grieve as a family.

A special word of thanks to Very Rev. Father Seán Mulligan P.P. for his spiritual support and the very comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, and our singers Fergal McAloon and Stevie Corrigan who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Tommy for preparing Marie’s final resting place. Also to Roisin of Nettles and Petals for the beautiful floral tributes, and to the St Patrick’s Hall ladies for providing the most welcome refreshments after the burial.

And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all the health care professionals who helped care for Marie, we are so very grateful for all your care, help and assistance.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Marie is loved and missed every day. May her gentle, generous, kind soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Her Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Lawrence’s Church, Fintona on Saturday 1st November at 10am. Our Lady pray for her.
