Smyth Marie. The husband and family of the late Marie Smyth, wish to express their heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with them on their recent sad bereavement. We extend our sincere appreciation to our wonderful family, friends and kind neighbours, whose love, help and support meant so much to us. To everyone who sent Mass Cards and sympathy cards, wrote letters, shared online tributes, phoned, attended the funeral, travelled from afar to be with us, or made charitable donations to Dementia NI in Marie's memory, we offer our deepest thanks. We are especially grateful to all those who helped with making tea, sandwiches and refreshments throughout the wake. Your generosity and thoughtfulness were a great comfort to us during such a difficult time.
Sincere thanks are also extended to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Church Walk Surgery and Craigavon Area Hospital who cared for Marie. The compassion, dedication and kindness shown to her will never be forgotten.
As a family , we would like to express our deepest gratitude to Deacon Pearse Thornbury for his spiritual guidance, his visits to the family home, and for conducting, along side Father Joseph, Marie's beautiful Requiem Mass. We also wish to recognise Michelle Harte for her wonderful singing and musical talent, which brought such beauty and meaning to Marie's life.
We are particularly indebted to Jack and Margaret McLearnon Funeral Directors for their professional and dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements, always with such care, compassion and understanding.
Our appreciation also goes to the Staff at The Stables Restaurant for their warm hospitality and for providing the refreshments following the funeral.
There are many people whom we may not have had the opportunity to thank personally. Please accept this acknowledgement as a sincere expression of our gratitude to each and everyone of you. The kindness, support and thoughtfulness shown to Marie and to our family will remain in our hearts and will always be remembered.
Marie's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Peter's Church Lurgan on Tuesday 15th September at 7pm.
