The family of the late Mark Devine wish to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love and support shown to them during their recent, sad bereavement.
Heartfelt thanks to Mark’s many faithful friends over the years, neighbours, and extended family circle for their kindness in calling to our home, sending Mass cards, flowers, phone calls and who offered messages of sympathy.
Thank you to all those who brought or sent food to our house during the wake. It was very much appreciated and welcomed. Special thanks to those from near and far who attended Mark’s wake, attended his funeral or who watched online.
To all family members for their help and support during the wake. A special word of thanks to Mark’s uncle Declan for his presence throughout and for being there for us as a family in our time of need, we are so very grateful to you.
Thank you to Fr Michael Doherty, Fr Malachy Gallagher, Fr Michael Canny and to Fr Daniel Mc Faul for their spiritual support. Sincere thanks to Mark’s cousin Fr James Devine for celebrating Mark’s Requiem Mass and for your very personal and heartfelt words. We are indebted to you for the comfort you provided our family in the weeks leading up to Mark’s passing.
Extended thanks to Fr Peter O’Kane for con celebrating the Mass on the day.
Thank you to the sacristan and gravediggers for all you did in preparation for Mark’s Mass and for interment afterwards.
Heartfelt thanks to Ciarrai Diver for her beautiful singing throughout the funeral ceremony as it brought us so much comfort and to all our family members and dear friends who participated in the reading of scripture, Prayers of the Faithful, Offertory procession and to our family members and to Mark’s loyal friends for being there and for carrying him with reverence and respect to his final resting place.
In life Mark was cared for and supported by many; We are grateful for the care and attention Mark received from the doctors, nurses, consultants at the Renal Centre, to the CCU staff at Altnagelvin Hospital and those involved in Mark’s journey at Harefield Hospital, London. Thank you for the unfailing kindness and dedication you bestowed upon Mark over the years.
Thank you to the doctors, staff of Mourneside Medical Practice and a special word of thanks to his friend Dr Brian Gallagher for all that he did for Mark over the years. To the pharmacists and staff at Medicare, we thank you for your advice and help.
To Jude Maguire and Staff of Quigley Funeral Directors, Strabane, we are thankful for the professional and dignified way you carried out the funeral arrangements.
As it would be impossible to thank individually all those whose kindness has brought such comfort to us, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all with our sincere thanks and gratitude.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Mark’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday 2nd July 2025 at St Theresa’s Church Sion Mills at 7.30pm.
