Martha THOMPSON

The husband and family of the late Martha Thompson wish to express their heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to all who sympathised with us and provided support during our recent sad bereavement. We are deeply grateful to Martha’s many neighbours and friends. Your presence, kind words, practical help and support over the years were a great comfort to our family and reflected the love that surrounded Martha. We will forever be grateful for your help.

Our sincere appreciation goes to all the healthcare workers who cared for Martha with such compassion, and to the teams at Eglinton Health Centre and Altnagelvin Area Hospital for all their dedication and support. We are also thankful to everyone who assisted during the wake, provided food or assisted with refreshments – every act of kindness helped carry us through.

A special word of thanks is extended to Father McDermott for his prayers, support, and the compassionate way he led the funeral service. His kindness, presence, and heartfelt guidance brought comfort during a very difficult time.

We also extend our gratitude to Willie, Kieran, Noeleen and staff at WJ O’Brien Funeral Directors for their professionalism, sensitivity and support. Also, thanks as well to the grave diggers, Curran’s Bakery for providing the refreshments and Strathfoyle Community Association for supplying much needed equipment. To everyone who called at the home, sent messages of sympathy, gave donations to our chosen charity in lieu of flowers, attended the funeral or supported us in anyway – please know how deeply we appreciate each and every gesture.

It is impossible to thank everyone individually, but we hope this acknowledgement conveys our sincere gratitude for the kindness shown to our family at this difficult time.
