WOODS
Martha
(née Byrne)
Routingburn Road, Kilnaherry, Eskra.

We, the family of the late Martha Woods would like to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all our kind relatives, friends and neighbours who supported us during our recent sad bereavement. Our Mum Martha was a widely respected lady, wife of the late Packie and a dearly loved Mother, Mother in law, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Sister in law, Aunt, Friend and Neighbour.

To all who attended the wake and funeral mass, many of which travelled long distances to pay their final respects, sent mass and sympathy cards, flowers and donations expressing their condolences online and via social media messages, we are so grateful.
Sincere thanks to our wonderful neighbours and friends who assisted the family with parking and the transport over the weekend of Mummy’s wake plus the Hackett family, Newtownsaville for using their premises and Shane O’Hagan and Donnelly’s for the use of their buses. Our thanks also to the extended family, neighbours and friends providing the tea and food, all of which helped us throughout the wake in so many ways, we are very grateful.

A special word of thanks to Canon Noel McGahan PP for his spiritual support and the comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan as well as grandchildren who took part in the beautiful Liturgy, and Louise Coyle for the uplifting music and beautiful singing making it all so very special for us.

Also, our sincere thanks to Fr Pat McSorley, Fr Terence Connolly, Fr Michael Bailey and Fr Brian O’Kane calling to see Mum and for the masses at home and hospital, so gratefully appreciated by Mum and us all.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to Brendan McKenna for preparing Mum’s final resting place. Also, our thanks to Kelly’s Inn for the warm welcome and refreshments after the funeral.

And finally, we send our grateful thanks to all the health professionals with whom Mum came into contact, especially those Carers who supported her at home daily demonstrating such dignity and respect. A special mention to the team of Errigal Medical Centre, her GP Dr Armstrong, O’Neill’s Pharmacy, Haematology Ward Dr Foy, Nurse Tanya and Dr Mahood. Also, our thanks to Marie and Naomi from Palliative Care and Ward 5 Palliative Care Nursing staff & Professor Watson in Omagh, the District specialist Nursing team that visited daily, the Marie Curie Nursing staff and Brenda from Red Cross, all of which were wonderful support from such wonderful local people.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Mum will be forever loved and is sadly missed, may her gentle, kind, generous soul be granted eternal rest. Martha’s month’s mind mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Eskra on Sunday 31st March at 9.30am. Our Lady Pray for her.
