Martina ROONEY (née McCullough)
ROONEY Martina (nee McCullough), died peacefully on Sunday, 21st December 2025, at Belfast City Hospital. Martina, dearly beloved daughter of the late George & Eileen McCullough, was the much loved and devoted mother of Rachel, Catherine, and Owen, beloved sister of Clare Quayle, and cherished auntie to Conor Quayle.
Forever remembered for her strength, warmth, kindness, humour, and the love she shared with not only her family and friends but with everyone who knew her.
Martina's remains will repose at her sister's residence 22 The Ward, Ardglass, BT30 7UP. Everyone is welcome to pay their respects on the 22nd and 23rd of December, but the family ask that the house is private on the morning of the funeral, please.
The funeral will take place on Wednesday 24th December at 11am at St.Nicholas' Church, Ardglass, followed by committal afterwards in adjoining cemetery
Martina's wish was that instead of flowers, mass cards, and sympathy cards, people instead use this money to make a small donation which will go both to Old Forge Surgery, Annalong, and OGcancerni, whom Martina wishes the donation money to be used in her memory to help others in times of sickness or in need. This can be done by leaving donations at her wake, where boxes will be in the house or C/O Down Funeral Directors, 26 John Street, Downpatrick, BT30 6BJ. Cheques made payable to Down Funeral Directors.
Lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family and many friends, and her parting goodbye was “ All my love always and forever x”.
