The family of the late Martin Mc Elhone of 7 Sperrin Court, Cookstown, would like to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all our kind relatives, friends and neighbours who supported us during our recent bereavement.

Our sincere gratitude to Fr. Slater for his spiritual support and guidance and for celebrating Martin’s beautiful Requiem Mass.

A special word of thanks to the Eucharistic Ministers, the Church Sacristan and to Sonlight for providing the lovely music and singing and Chloe for playing the violin which made Martin’s Funeral Mass so special.
Thanks also to the piper Conor.

The family would like to thank everyone who helped care for Martin.
A special thanks to Miranda for her care and kindness over the past few years also to Sheena who cared and helped Martin in his final months.
Thanks to Caroline the Scheme Co-ordinater of Sperrin Court for all her guidance during the wake.
Thanks to everyone involved in the Men Shed which Martin took great pride in.
Thanks to the dedicated team of Carers from Anne’s Home Care and the Health Trust who all took great care in looking after him in recent months.
Thank you to Dr. McKeever, and the nurses and staff at Loy Medical Centre, to the staff of Gordon’s Pharmacy.
Thank you to all the staff at Antrim Area Hospital and the Hospice for taking such good care of Martin.
Also to the District nurses and the dedicated nursing team from Macmillan and Marie Curie for all their care and support.

We are indebted to all those who supported us, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, messages, wreathes, floral tributes, and expressed their condolences via telephone and social media.
We took great comfort on the morning of the funeral from the support of everyone who lined the funeral cortege route, from those who joined us at the Chapel, and from those who viewed Martin’s funeral Mass online.

A special word of thanks to the gravediggers who prepared Martin’s resting place with great care and to all those who helped us in any way.

We would sincerely like to thank Niall A Loughran Funeral Directors for their very efficient, dignified and professional manner in which they carried out all the funeral arrangements during these difficult times.

As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a small gesture of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

Martin’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 11th May 2024 @ 6pm in Holy Trinity Church Cookstown and can be viewed on the link below.
