MCKENNA MARY HELENA (NEE MCGIRR) 21 REAGHAN ROAD, NEWTOWNSTEWART, BT78 4EJ

We the family would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through the recent loss of our beloved Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Sister, Sister-in-law, Godmother and Aunt.

We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way and travelled long distances to attend the wake and offer their condolences. To those who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, phoned, messaged on-line, sent flowers and to those who donated kindly to MS Omagh & District Group we are sincerely grateful.
A special word of thanks to all the kind relatives, friends and neighbours who helped at our home, brought food, assisted with hospitality and traffic management over the period of the wake.

To Fr Paul Frazer PP, Fr Peter McCawille SMA, Fr. Colm O’Doherty PP, Fr Cathal McKenna SMA and Fr Eugene Hasson PP who attended the wake we appreciated your support. Thank you to those who lined the funeral route and guided traffic on the A5.

We extend our deep appreciation to Fr R Colhoun CC who visited Mum since his ministry in Newtownstewart and whose spiritual guidance and calls were warmly welcomed. A heartfelt thank you to Fr Colhoun for the beautiful celebration of Mum’s Requiem Mass and fitting homily. To Fr C McKenna SMA and Fr P McCawille SMA who concelebrated the ceremony we thank you both sincerely. Thank you to Bernie Maguire, Mickey McGurk and Eugene McGonagle for the beautiful music and singing. Sincere thanks to the family members who participated in the liturgy, to Sinead Morris for live streaming the Service and to St Eugene’s PS Tircur, St Conor’s PS Omagh, Omagh MS Society for the Guard of Honour. Thank you to all who attended in person or joined us on-line.

We extend our grateful thanks to Dr S Greene and her excellent team at Newtownstewart Medical Centre who attended to Mum and gave guidance to the family, and to Bradley’s Chemist Newtownstewart for their ever obliging service. To all the staff of Altnagelvin Hospital who cared for Mum with such kindness and compassion. A special word of thanks to Fr R Colhoun CC, Fr P McCawille SMA, and the hospital Chaplin Fr Canney for their spiritual support to Mum and us as a family during Mum’s stay in hospital.

To Paul Gallagher Funeral Director and his team for the dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and also to the gravediggers who prepared Mum’s final resting place we are especially grateful.

A final thank you is extended to the Mellon Country Hotel for the refreshments after the funeral.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deep appreciation. The holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Mum’s month’s mind Mass will be held on Sunday 23 July at 11.30 am in St Eugene’s Church Glenock.
