Warnock Mary (May) Castledamph, Plumbridge died 25th August 2023
We, the heartbroken family of the late May Warnock would like to express our deep appreciation to all our kind relatives, friends, neighbours, and work colleagues who sympathised and supported us through our sudden loss of a beloved wife, mammy and nannie.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who telephoned, sent cards, letters, messages of condolence, donations in lieu of flowers and to all who attended the wake and funeral to pay their respects.
We are especially grateful to those who helped at the family home during the wake and to the many kind people who brought food. Also, to those who assisted with car parking and transport arrangements.
Our heartfelt thanks to the ladies of the church, friends and relatives who provided and served such a beautiful tea at the hall after the burial.
A special word of thanks to Rev Ivan Dinsmore.
Who regularly called at the family home.
Were he was always warmly welcomed
We would like to thank Ivan for conducting the funeral service, his fitting eulogy, and his continuing support to us as a family.
We are also thankful to Mrs Angela Campbell for playing the organ at the funeral service.
Thanks is extended to Sperrin Family Practice, Corry’s chemist, and the Cardiac Assessment Unit for attending to May’s medical needs over the years.
Also to the paramedics and the staff in A&E and Ward 31, Altnagelvin Area Hospital who cared for her with kindness and compassion in her final days.
Finally thank you to Robert and Derek Armstrong for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the grave diggers who prepared her final resting place.
As it is not possible to thank everyone involved individually, the family trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our gratitude and appreciation.
We will be forever indebted to you all.
A thousand words won’t bring you back,
We know because we’ve tried.
Neither will a thousand tears,
We know because we’ve cried.
Your memory is our keepsake,
With which we’ll never part.
God has you in his keeping,
We have you in our hearts.
