Mary (Ellison) Hughes

Killyman (The Halla)

We, the family of the late Mary Hughes (née Ellison), would like to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to everyone who sympathised with and supported us following the loss of our much-loved Mum, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

To our extended family, friends, neighbours and the wider community, we will be forever grateful for the kindness and support shown to us throughout Mum’s wake and funeral. Your presence, prayers and many acts of kindness brought us great comfort during a very difficult time.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Mum’s carers and the District Nurses who cared for and attended to her at home. We are deeply grateful for the kindness, compassion and dignity you showed Mum and for the support you gave to our family.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended Mum’s wake and funeral, travelled to pay their respects, sent Mass cards, messages and flowers, brought refreshments to our family home, or helped us in any way. We were deeply touched by the large number of people who came to pay their respects and by the many kind words and memories of Mum that were shared with us.

A special thank you to Killyman GFC for all their help and support throughout the wake, and for allowing the use of the football grounds for parking and the shuttle bus service. Your help and generosity were greatly appreciated by our entire family.

We would also like to sincerely thank KC Marquees for their help and assistance during the wake.

A special word of thanks to Dean Donaghy, Fr Martin and the chaplains for their prayers, spiritual support and for the beautiful and fitting Funeral Mass for Mum in St Brigid’s Chapel, Killyman.

Our sincere thanks to Ciara McCrystal & her pianist for her beautiful singing during Mum’s Funeral Mass, which helped make Mum’s final farewell so special and meaningful.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to Mum’s Funeral Mass and burial and helped make her final farewell so dignified and special.

Finally, our heartfelt thanks to Patrick Quinn & Son Funeral Directors for the compassionate, professional and dignified manner in which they carried out Mum’s funeral arrangements. We are extremely grateful for the care, guidance and support shown to our family throughout.

As a family, we have been overwhelmed by the kindness, prayers and support shown to us. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere expression of our gratitude and appreciation to each and every person who supported us in any way. A mass will be offered up for your special intentions.

Mum’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 27th at 11.00 a.m. in St Brigid’s Chapel, Killyman.

We warmly invite all who knew and loved Mum to join us in prayer and remembrance.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on her soul.
St Padre Pio, pray for her.

May Mum’s gentle soul rest in peace.

Have you considered?
