We, the family of the late Mary Mc Dowell, would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to all those who offered their condolences, paid their respects, attended her funeral, sent cards and flowers, provided food, offered their services and generally supported the family during this time.

Sincere thanks are extended to those involved in Mary's care, especially the staff at Northside Medical Practice, Ward 41 and the Emergency Department at Altnagelvin Hospital, Belmont Pharmacy and her nurses and carers in the community. Thank you for the dignity, respect and kindness shown to Mary.

We also offer our appreciation to Kieran and all the staff at WJ O'Brien Funeral Directors, Eglinton, for their professionalism and the support provided throughout the funeral. Sincere thanks also to hospital chaplains, Father Canny and Father Lagan, along with Father Micheál Mc Gavigan, priests and staff at St Patrick's Church, Pennyburn. Thankyou for your spiritual guidance and the lovely requiem Mass that was enhanced by Fidelma Legg's beautiful singing.

A special word of thanks is extended to the residents and staff at Culmore Park. Your friendship and thoughtfulness were very much appreciated both as friends and neighbours to Mary over the years she lived there and throughout the funeral.

As it is impossible to mention and individually show our appreciation to everyone who contributed in any way, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our gratitude.

Mary's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 1st August 2026 at 6.15pm in St Patrick's Church, Pennyburn, Derry. Everyone is welcome to attend.
