The death has occurred of:
Mary McKenna (née Devlin)
We, the family of the late Mary McKenna (Moortown) wish to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to everyone who sympathised with us on the loss of our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
We are deeply grateful to Mummy’s extended family, dear friends and neighbours for the years of loving friendship throughout her life. Your love, support and compassion meant the world to her and us. Thanks also to all the ladies who helped in the kitchen, it was very much appreciated and you done her proud.
We thank all those who sympathised, attended the Wake, sent cards, messages of condolences and flowers. Thank you to all the businesses and the many people who brought food to the family home. Thank you to Corky and the staff of Kinturk Cultural Centre for the food after the Funeral. Thank you to Jim from J&K Coaches for providing the bus and to Nigel for driving. Also, to Moortown St Malachy’s for their assistance with parking. Your generosity and thoughtfulness were very much appreciated.
We are especially grateful to everyone at Coagh Surgery, Coagh Chemist, Marie Curie and A&E (Antrim Area Hospital) for the care they have provided to Mummy.
A special thank you to Enable Care for taking exceptional care of Mummy during the recent months and also to the very special girls who also attended to mummy. Your kindness, compassion and the way you looked after her will never be forgotten, it meant more to our family than words can say. We are truly grateful that it made her time at home more enjoyable.
A special thanks to Fr. Slater and Fr. Tremer for their lovely funeral mass and Fr. Tremer for attending Mummy.
Thank you to Conan and Pat from Lavery’s Funeral Directors for the dignified way they carried out the funeral arrangements and guiding us through the preparations.
Also, to our readers, sacristan, eucharistic ministers and Margaret Ann and Michael for the beautiful music through the service and burial. Also, thanks to Finn and Gerard for preparing Mummy’s final resting place.
We are unable to thank everyone individually and we hope that this acknowledgment will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation. The holy sacrifice of the mass will be offered for all your intentions.
