The death has occurred of:
Matthew Joseph FOX
The Robinson and Fox family of the late Matthew Joseph Fox, who passed away suddenly on 12 December, would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all who supported us during our recent tragic bereavement.
We are deeply grateful to all our family, friends, neighbours, and the Drummullan and Cookstown community for the love, kindness, and compassion shown to us.
A special thank you to Matthew’s many friends who visited us, and in particular his closest friends who never left our side. We thank them for the loyalty, compassion, generosity and support shown to him and to our family.
Thank you to all who visited Matthew’s home and attended Matthew’s wake and funeral mass, sent cards and messages of sympathy, brought food and flowers, and offered comfort in so many thoughtful ways. Your presence and generosity brought us great comfort, and your kindness will be forever remembered.
We wish to express our heartfelt and sincere gratitude to The Kevin Bell RepatriationTrust, who were incredibly supportive, compassionate, and dignified. They helped bring Matthew home, and words cannot truly express our gratitude for their care, kindness, and support at such a difficult time. We are sincerely thankful to everyone who made donations to The Kevin Bell RepatriationTrust in his memory.
A heartfelt word of thanks is also offered to Kee Transport Ltd, Donegal, where Matthew worked; to his colleagues for their kindness and support, and for honouring him at his funeral with a guard of honour of the lorries he loved so much; to the Godfrey family for their compassion; and to Cheshire Police for their professionalism, sensitivity, and support.
Thank you to Niall A. Loughran Funeral Directors for the caring, dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.
A special word of thanks to Fr. Francis Colland the Drummullan Parish for celebrating Matthew’s Funeral Mass so beautifully, and for the meaningful service in which his life was so respectfully and lovingly honoured, and to Fr. Lawrence Boyle and Fr. Brian McNally who also called and prayed for Matthew and our family.
We would also like to thank Matthew’s mothers’ friends and colleagues at Mid Ulster District Council for their kindness and support during this difficult time.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our family’s deepest gratitude. The love and support shown to our family will remain with us always, and we thank each one of you.
Matthew’s month's mass will be celebrated on Saturday 10 January 2026 at 7pm in the Church of St. Joseph and St. Malachy’s, Drummullan.
Keira & Simon Robinson, Kathryn (Fox) and Lucy (Robinson), the Fox and Robinson family and all Matthew’s relatives and wider family circle.
