We, the daughters and wife of the late Maurice Donnelly, who peacefully passed away on the 7th August 2026, would like to sincerely thank all those who offered their sympathy and support following our recent sad loss. We are deeply grateful to all those who called to our home, sent mass cards, flowers and attended the funeral mass.
We are sincerely grateful to our extended family who supported us throughout Maurice’s (Daddy’s) illness, in particular his final days and also during the wake, it really means a lot to us.
We extend our gratitude to all the doctors and nursing staff of Ward 50, Altnagelvin Hosptial and particular thanks to Mr. Bryson and nurses Karen and Helen who provided Maurice (Daddy) with exceptional care. A huge thanks to the staff of Foyle Hospice, who were so attentive to Maurice (Daddy) and all of us as a family. A special thank you to Dr. Brona O’Doherty, who was a great comfort to Maurice (Daddy) in his final days. Thanks is also extended to the staff teams of Glendermott Medical and Clear Pharmacy in Rosemount, who went above and beyond with their care for Maurice (Daddy).
A special word of thanks to Fr. Ignacy Saniuta of St Mary’s Church, Creggan for his comforting words and beautiful Funeral Requiem Mass and to Sinead Burnside for her beautiful singing. Finally, our sincere thanks to Warren and all the team at McClafferty Funeral Directors for their care, attention to detail and for carrying out our wishes with respect and dignity.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our heart felt gratitude and appreciation.
