It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Maxwell (Max) Chism, peacefully at home on 2nd May 2026.

Late of 23 Creggan Heights. May he rest in peace.

Beloved husband of Lisa. Devoted father of Clare, Connor and Cora Leigh. Dearest father-in-law of Paul. Loving grandfather of Maxine, Ronan and Shane. Precious son of Marion and James. A much loved brother of Louise and Jessica. Dearest son-in-law of the late Annie-Rose and Patrick. A dear brother-in-law of Ann, Liam, Margaret, Carol, Pius, Nucker and the late Patrick, John, Martha, Nan and Bia. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his nieces, nephews, wider family circle and friends.

Max’s remains will be reposing at his late home, 23 Creggan Heights from 4pm this afternoon, Saturday 2nd May. Funeral leaving from there on Monday 4th May at 9:30am for 10am Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.

The wake house will be private from 10pm until 11am.

St. Anthony Pray For Him. Our Lady Of Knock Intercede For Him.
