The death has occurred of:
May McGivern (née McKenna formerly Loughran)
The family of the late May McGivern would like to thank everyone who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement.
Thanks to everyone who attended the wake (both in Emyvale and in Clady) and the Funeral. Your kindness, mass cards, sympathy cards, prayers, flowers and presence meant so much to us and has been a great source of
comfort to our family.
We are grateful to our relatives, friends and
neighbours who travelled to be with us. Thank you to those who made tea, brought food, shared stories and treasured memories, or kept May and our family in their thoughts and prayers.
Thank you to the Staff of Copperfields Nursing Home who looked after May during her last few years. Thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses who cared for May.
A special thank you to Fr Hannigan, Fr Dwyer and Fr Greg Carvill for their spiritual support in May’s final hours. Special thank you to Fr Greg for celebrating May’s funeral mass in such a personal and meaningful manner.
Thanks to Clady GFC for the use of their equipment to help us at home during the wake, their assistance with traffic control on the morning of the funeral and the use of their premises to host the post burial meal, which was professionally provided by McEntee Catering. Thanks also to Rock Tool Hire for the use of their Lighting to assist at the wake.
The funeral Mass was greatly enhanced by the musical contribution provided by Ameila McCormack and thanks also to Eileen and Elaine for preparing the Church. Thanks to the gravedigger Brian and to Peter McMahon Funeral Directors for the professional and dignified manner in which they took care of all the funeral arrangements at this most difficult time.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere expression of our gratitude.
May’s Month Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 27th September at 11.30am
in St Michael’s Church, Clady.
