Consultant Plastic Surgeon, Ulster Hospital.
Died suddenly on the 28th October 2023.
Precious memories of a beloved husband, Dad, son, brother and uncle.
Very sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Jackie and his sons Malachy, James and Danny, his father Joe and his late mother Veronica, his brother Paul, his brother-in-law Cahal and sister-in-law Margaret and all the extended family.

Those who live in the hearts of their loved ones do not die.

Mel will be reposing at his late family home from Thursday 2nd November, family and friends are welcome from 3pm.
Requiem Mass will be held Saturday 4th November at 9.30am in St Colmcilles, Ballyhackamore followed by the burial at Redburn Cemetery.

The entire staff of the Plastic Surgery Department at the Ulster Hospital are deeply saddened by the sudden death of their esteemed colleague, Mr Mel Tohill. He was a skilful, dedicated and compassionate surgeon, a highly-respected teacher and mentor, and a very dear colleague and friend. The care of his patients was at the centre of his professional life, and we all benefitted from his wise counsel.
We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Mel’s beloved wife, Jackie, his precious sons, Malachy, James and Danny, his father and brother, and his wider family circle and many friends.
He will be greatly missed by his colleagues and patients. May he rest in peace.
