Mena MCKEOWN (née O’Hare)
Died peacefully on 8th July 2026, aged 96, at Nazareth Care Village, Belfast. Formerly of Killard Avenue, Downpatrick and Burrenbridge, County Down.
Beloved wife of the late Brendan and loving mother of Anne, Colum and Eamonn.
Cherished mother-in-law of Donal and Tariq and dear grandmother of Brónach, Mícheál, Éadaoin, Mairéad, Sinéad, Conor and James. Sister of the late James, John, Una, Bridget and Stephen.
Mena’s remains will repose in MJ Sawey & Sons Chapel of Rest, 9 Bryansford Avenue, Newcastle BT33 0AX. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects on Thursday from 5.00pm to 8.00pm and Friday from 4.00pm to 8.00pm.
Mena's Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 11th July at 11.00am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Leitrim, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
