The death has occurred of:
Mervyn Hobson
The family of the late Mervyn Hobson, 20 Dobbin Road, Drumnasoo, Portadown wish to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to everyone who extended sympathy and practical support following our recent, sad bereavement. We are deeply thankful for every act of kindness, including all those who provided meals, attended the wake, funeral service, called at the house, sent messages, commented on social media, sent sympathy cards and telephoned. Your kindness was overwhelming and will never be forgotten.
Our deepest appreciation goes to the dedicated doctors, nurses and staff at Richhill Health Centre, nurses from Portadown Health Centre as well as all the staff in Richhill Pharmacy. Thanks to the carers who attended to Mervyn in his own home over the past few years. We extend grateful thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff in the Acute Medical Unit at Craigavon Area Hospital who cared for him with such compassion, dignity and respect during his final days. Special thanks also to the staff at Edenderry Day Centre, where Mervyn had been attending for the past few years.
Special thanks to Reverend Carlton Baxter for his pastoral support and for conducting such a personal and beautiful funeral service. Thanks to Pansy Marshall, pastoral support, Christine Greenlee, church organist, Richard Emerson, grave digger and to Karen at P.K. Catering Service for providing refreshments after the funeral.
Sincere thanks to Alan, Lynda and all the staff from Alan Wray & Co. Funeral Directors for taking care of the funeral arrangements in such a professional and dignified manner, for their advice and compassion at such a difficult time and for providing refreshments at the wake in the Old Meeting House, Portadown.
We are immensely grateful for the donations made to N.I. Dementia in lieu of flowers.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Marlene, Diane, Andrew and family.
