Joyce and the family circle of the late Mervyn Stewart would like to thank all those who sympathised with them following their recent bereavement. To all those who sent messages, cards, made a charitable donation, attended the wake and the funeral service, your acts of kindness have meant a lot to us all.
To the doctors and nurses in Ward 4 of Altnagelvin hospital we simply cannot thank you enough. We will be eternally grateful for the care and compassion you showed to Mervyn during his time with you. It was a huge source of comfort to the family circle that Mervyn was so well cared for.
A special word of thanks to Rev. Canon Robert Boyd MBE for his kindness, compassion and spiritual guidance. The funeral, whilst a sad occasion, was a celebration of Mervyn’s life. To Rev. Ken McLaughlin, a special friend of Mervyn, thank you for your lovely words at his funeral service.
To Mervyn’s many friends who visited both him in hospital and us in our family home, thank you most sincerely. We thank you for the loyalty, compassion and support shown to Mervyn and to our family. To his former work colleagues, who visited the family home and attended his funeral service, it was so lovely to hear the tributes you paid to him and how much he was thought of.
