Acknowledgement & Month’s Mind Mass

We, the family of the late Mickey McFadden, who passed away peacefully on 9th August 2026, would like to sincerely thank everyone who offered their sympathy, kindness and support following the sad loss of Mickey (loving husband of the late Sally), a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.

We are deeply grateful to all who took the time to call at the house, send Mass cards and messages of condolence.
Our sincere thanks to our extended family, friends and everyone who helped during the wake, and to those who provided food and refreshments.
We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to all the doctors and nursing staff of Ward 26 at Altnagelvin Hospital for the care and attention they gave to Mickey in the weeks before his passing.
We extend our gratitude and appreciation to all the home carers who looked after Mickey in the months, and years, prior to his passing. The care and compassion they had shown will not be forgotten.

Our thanks to Fr. Baxter for his spiritual guidance and for celebrating a beautiful Requiem Mass, and also to those who provided the beautiful hymns and music. Finally, our sincere thanks to Kieran and all at WJ O’Brien & Son Funeral Directors for their care, attention to detail, and for carrying out the funeral arrangements with such respect and dignity.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a sincere expression of our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude.

Mickey’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 4th September at 6.30pm in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown

All who knew and loved him are welcome
