Acknowledgement - Michael (Mickey) McNamee, 2nd December 2023 R.I.P.. The wife and family of the late Michael wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them during their recent sad bereavement.
We would especially like to thank everyone who called at our home, brought mass or sympathy cards, floral tributes, telephoned or sent messages on social media.
A heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped during Mickeys wake providing tea and refreshments,thanks to the people who parked cars,mini bus drivers and anyone who helped in any way. Thankyou to all the doctors, nurses and staff of Draperstown surgery,the district nurses,Respiratory team Magherafelt, O'Kanes pharmacy Draperstown and Ward 2 North Craigavon Area Hospital who cared for Mickey.
Thankyou to Mickeys friends and comrades for the guard of honour in the home during the wake. A special word of thanks to Father Devine cc for the beautiful requiem mass, Jackie and Eamon for the lovely music and the traditional musicians in the Chapel and at the graveside. Thanks to the Eucharistic minister. Thankyou to all those who attended the funeral, some travelling great distances, it gave us great comfort in knowing that so many cared for Mickey in his lifetime.
Sincere thanks to Colleen and all the staff at Niall A Loughran Funeral Directors for the compassionate,professional and dignified way Mickeys wake and funeral were carried out. We would also like to thank the gravediggers who prepared Mickeys final resting place with such care. Thanks to all the staff at the Millwheel for providing the meal after the funeral.
As it would not be possible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as small gesture of our sincere appreciation.
Mickeys month mind mass will be celebrated on Tuesday 2nd January at 7.30pm in Our Lady of the Wayside church Broughderg.
