Michael Doherty
Acknowledgement – Michael Doherty
We, the family of the late Michael Doherty, wish to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us following the great loss of our much-loved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended Michael’s wake and funeral, and to all those who offered their sympathy, kindness and support during such a difficult time.
To our neighbours and friends who assisted during the wake, and to those who so kindly brought food to our home,
we are truly grateful. We also wish to thank those who travelled long distances, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards
and messages of condolence, or supported us in any way.
A special word of thanks to Fr. Philip Kemmy for attending to Michael’s spiritual needs and for his prayers, kindness and support during the wake. We are especially grateful for the beautiful Funeral Mass and moving celebration of Michael’s life.
Our sincere thanks also to Fr. Oliver Crossan, who concelebrated the Funeral Mass,
and to Fr. Damien and Liam Coyle for their kindness and support.
We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to T. Quigley & Son Funeral Directors
for the care, compassion and professionalism shown to Michael and to our family throughout the wake and funeral.
Their kindness, guidance and attention to every detail during such a difficult time were greatly appreciated.
To Packie and Michael’s fisherman friends, who formed a Guard of Honour at Lifford Bridge, and to Newtowncunningham Scouts, who formed a Guard of Honour at the chapel, we extend our heartfelt thanks.
These were incredibly moving tributes to Michael and meant so much to us as a family.
We would also like to thank Helen Haughey and Joanne O’Donnell for the beautiful music, which added so much to Michael’s Funeral Mass, and to everyone who helped with the wake and funeral in any other way.
Our sincere thanks to Dr. Meta McLaughlin and her staff for the care, kindness and support they showed Michael. We are also very grateful to the ambulance crew, Newtowncunningham First Responders and Healthwise Pharmacy for their care and assistance.
It is impossible to thank everyone individually, but please know that every act of kindness, message of sympathy, prayer
and gesture of support was deeply appreciated and brought us great comfort during this very difficult time.
Please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our family’s sincere and heartfelt gratitude.
