Michael Donaghey
31st December 2025
We the family of the late Michael Donaghey RIP wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness and support shown to us following the sad loss of a dearly beloved brother. We offer our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the wake and funeral, provided us with so much practical and emotional support, for those who travelled long distances, sent mass and sympathy cards, floral tributes and messages of condolences expressed via telephone or social media.
Words cannot express how much your kindness and thoughtfulness meant to all of us.
To Dr Fullerton and staff of Donemana Medical Centre, who cared for Michael throughout his many years of ill health with great care and unfailing attention. To Foyle Hospice Home Care Team, the Staff of Ward 50, Altnagelvin Hospital, District Nurses, to all his carers as well as Anne and Sinead from Trust Services, you were all so very helpful to us in times of concern. We are extremely grateful.
A special thanks and appreciation to Fr Sean O‘Donnell for the beautiful celebration of Michael`s Requiem Mass.
Thanks also to Fr Peter O’Kane who called at the house and offered Prayers. To Brian and Blondie, thank you both for the beautiful singing of hymns during the Mass, truly amazing voices.
Many thanks also to those of you who sent and brought food during the wake.
Thanks to Jude Maguire and staff for their professionalism and caring support.
To Conn Tinney for preparing the grave for Michael`s final resting place and to Murphy’s On The Green for providing the refreshments after the funeral.
A special word of thanks to Michael`s dear and trusted friends, Brian, Josephine and Angela you were always there for him, throughout the years, again when it really mattered, your company, the old stories, laughter and banter, kept him going.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope as a family that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere thanks and appreciation.

Michael`s Month`s Mind Mass will be celebrated
in St Mary`s Church, Melmount on Saturday 31st January at 7pm
