The family of the late Michael Draine wish to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who showed us such kindness, sympathy, and support at the time of Michael’s passing.

We are deeply grateful to our family, friends, neighbours, and work colleagues, and to all who visited our home, brought food, Mass cards, sympathy cards, and letters, attended the wake and funeral, and shared memories of the wonderful person Michael was. Your presence and kindness brought us great comfort.

Our sincere thanks to the Doctors and Nurses of the Royal Hospital, Ulster Hospital, and the Macmillan Unit, especially Dr Sandra, as well as the Community Nurses and Palliative Care Team, for the care, dignity, and compassion shown to Michael throughout his illness.

We also wish to thank Edmundson’s Electrical and Michael’s many former colleagues who attended the funeral and kept in touch with him in the eight years since his retirement. Your friendship meant so much to him.

We are very grateful to Father Martin O’Hagan and Deacon Pat McNeill for the beautiful prayers and eulogy, and to Anna Moore for the lovely music. Our thanks also to the Crowne Plaza for providing refreshments after the Funeral Mass.

Finally, we would like to thank Stephen Morgan Funeral Directors for their professionalism, attention to detail, and for the patience and kindness they showed us during this difficult time.

Please accept this acknowledgement as a sincere expression of our appreciation.
