The death has occurred of:
Michael Ryan
We, the family of the late Michael Ryan, would like to express our appreciation to all those who sympathised and supported us during our recent bereavement. Michael passed away peacefully at home after a long fight with Pulmonary Fibrosis, on the 12th of July 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
We are grateful to all those who helped us through this difficult time. A special thank you to the Magherafelt Respiratory Team, Antrim Area Hospital Respiratory Team, District Nurse team and the Marie Curie Nurses who looked after Michael and supported us as a family. We also would like to thank Coagh Medical Centre for all their help in looking after Michael throughout his illness.
To our extended family, friends and neighbours, your presence at the wake and funeral, your kind words, the telephone calls, flowers, cards, mass cards, prayers, floral tributes and gestures of sympathy meant so much. Thank you.
We would like to thank Lavery’s Funeral Directors, Conan, Pat & Peter, for their compassion and dignified handling of all the arrangements, along with Finn, the grave digger, who prepared Michael's final resting place. A special thank you to Margaret Anne Conlon and Patrick Slevin for the beautiful music. Special thanks to Laverys Bar for hosting and Tasty Macs for supplying the food after the burial.
A special word of thanks to Fr Tremer who called daily offering us guidance and support. Thank you for the beautiful ceremony on the day of the funeral, Fr Tremer's words brought resonance and great comfort to Michael's family and friends, especially those joining the service on the Internet.
Michael will be sadly missed by his wife, son, daughter, grandchildren, sister, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, friends and the wider community.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere appreciation of our gratitude to all.
Michael's Month Mind Mass will be celebrated in the Church of the Immaculate Conception on Monday 18th of August at 7.30pm.
