The death has occurred of:
Mona Byrne (née McCartan)
Byrne (nee McCartan) (Newry) died 6th January 2026 peacefully at Rathfriland Manor Care Home. Mona R.I.P. Wife of the late Patsy and much loved mother of Damian, Nigel, Shane, Majella and Sunniva. Sister of Stella, Vera, Gregory, Gervase and Frances. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul.
Her remains will repose in Charles Digney & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Sugar House Quay, Newry on Wednesday from 12noon until 2pm & 5pm until 8pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10.30am in Ss. Patrick & Colman’s Cathedral. Burial afterwards in Monkshill Cemetery.
Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons, daughters, grandchildren, sons in law, daughters in law, brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, cousins, family circle & friends.
