Monica Flanagan (née Smith)
The family of the Late Monica Flanagan would like to express their gratitude to
everyone who offered sympathy, support and kindness during their recent
bereavement. We appreciate very much Watty Graham’s GAC Glen for their help
and support throughout the wake and funeral. To our neighbours we say thank you
and to Martin Glass for the use of his field for parking.
Our sincere thanks to all who attended the wake and funeral, sent Mass cards or
messages of condolence and brought gifts. Our thanks to everyone who helped and
assisted in many ways.
A special thankyou to Fr Paddy Doherty P.P. for his diligent spiritual care and
support to Monica and for celebrating a beautiful Requiem Mass. Thank you Fr.
Kieran O’Doherty and Fr. Anthony (Nigeria) for concelebrating the Mass. We
appreciate the support and effort Fr Anthony made to be with us.
With much gratitude and appreciation to Jolene Conway, Emily Elwood and Caitriona
McCloskey for the magnificent music and singing. It was truly memorable for us and
greatly enriched the Requiem Mass. Many thanks.
Thankyou Sally (Sacristan) for the church preparations and to Gavin Toner who
prepared Monica’s resting place.
A special thankyou to Marina Care Home and all the staff for their great care and
affection shown to Monica these past few months. We would also like to thank the
carers of Ann’s Home Care who attended Monica at home and looked after her so
well.
We wish to acknowledge and thank Fr. Dan Ryan for his friendship, spiritual care
and support to Monica over the years.
To Damian Smith Funeral Directors, Kilcreevy, Madden, Armagh, a very heartfelt
thank you for the caring, professional and dignified manner in which the funeral
arrangements were carried out. The family took great solace from the personal
service provided.
Monica’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Friday 27 th June 2025 at
7.30pm in St. Patrick’s Church Glen, Maghera.
