Neil's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 15th August 2026 at 11.00am in St Ninnidh's Church, Derrylin.

As we approach Neil's Month's Mind, we, his family, wish to once again express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone who supported us following his sudden passing.

Neil's mother and father, John and Pauline, brothers Mark, John, Ryan and Gerard, partner Niamh, and extended family members wish to extend our deepest gratitude and warmest thanks to everyone who offered their condolences, prayers, messages, Mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers, food, and support following the sudden and tragic passing of Neil.

We extend our sincere thanks to Fr Alwill, Fr McMorrow, Fr Kelly, Fr Comiskey, Fr Cusack and Canon McPhillips for their prayers, compassion and support; to Aoife Cathcart and Gareth Maguire for the beautiful music and singing throughout Neil’s Funeral Mass; to Pat and Mark Blake, funeral undertakers, for the care and respect shown to Neil and our family throughout this difficult time; and to the grave diggers, Eoin Murphy and his team.

We also wish to thank Derrylin O'Connells GAA Club for the touching guard of honour and wonderful tribute paid to Neil, everyone who helped in our home by preparing food, serving refreshments and looking after those who came to pay their respects, and Trish, Dessie and all the team for the beautiful meal and warm hospitality after the funeral. Your kindness and generosity were deeply appreciated.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation.

Neil was one of a kind. He had a wonderful sense of humour, a kind heart and a way of making friends wherever he went. The many stories, memories and tributes shared with us have reminded us just how much he was loved and respected. Knowing how many lives he touched has brought us great comfort during this difficult time.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Always remembered. Rest Easy Neil.
