A letter of acknowledgement and appreciation from the family of the late Noel O'Neill (Springfarm Road, Antrim).

The family of the late Noel O'Neill, wish to express our sincere gratitude and heartfelt thanks to everyone who sympathised and supported us in our recent bereavement. We are deeply grateful to our relatives, friends and neighbours who called at the wake, sent Mass and sympathy cards, wrote us letters, posted online tributes and attended the funeral.

Special thanks to the Bishop of Down and Connor, Bishop Alan McGuckian SJ, for presiding at the Requiem Mass, to Canon Seán Emerson, Fr Dawid Aksenczuk and Fr Jane for attending Noel as well as to Eugene’s fellow priests for their support, spiritual care and for concelebrating Noel’s Requiem, the beauty of which was so enhanced by the music of Louis McVeigh, Mark Laverty and Colm O'Kane.

To Doctor Field and Doctor Lewis of Antrim Medical Centre for the dignified care and attention shown to Noel when he received his diagnosis and throughout his last weeks and to the Marie Curie nurses who provided respite to our family during Noel's final days. We, as a family, are forever grateful.

Sincere thanks to Marrion’s Funeral Directors for their professionalism, compassion and respectful handling of all the funeral arrangements.

Thanks also to The Dunsilly Hotel for providing wonderful hospitality to our guests following the funeral.

Noel's Month’s Mind Mass will be held on Friday 5th December at 7.00pm in St. Joseph’s Church, Greystone Road, Antrim BT41 1JZ.

May he rest in peace.
