The death has occurred of:
Norman McCOMBES
We, the family of the late Norman McCombes wish to express our sincere appreciation to all those who sympathised and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. Your kindness, compassion and thoughtfulness have been a great comfort to us.
Thank you to all who met us at Drumnakilly Parish Church Hall to pay their respects, who telephoned, sent messages and cards, attended the funeral service, and gave donations in lieu of flowers to Drumnakilly Parish Church in memory of Dad. We were extremely grateful and deeply moved by the support we received.
We extend special thanks to Dad’s carers from Lakeland Community and to all the carers over the years including Angel Watch. No words can express how deeply we appreciate everything you did. Our heartful gratitude also goes to the staff in SWAH Ward 6 for their compassion and dedication to Dad during his final fortnight when he was in hospital and for the support they gave us, his family, especially in his last days.
We are deeply thankful to Mrs. Sarah Cathers and Rev. Iain Jamieson for conducting Dad’s funeral services, to the organist Ann Crawford, to Barbara Pinkerton and her team for providing refreshments at the wake and following the funeral service and to Eddie and Hazel Giboney representing Drumnakilly Select Vestry for their support and assistance with arrangements.
We would also like to express our personal thanks to Dad’s good neighbours and friends - Noel Irwin, the Armstrong family and Harold McKelvey for all their support to Dad over the years.
Grateful thanks to John and Heather Anderson and Keith Mitchell from J.H. Anderson & Son and Richard Pollock for the professional, supportive, and dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. Thank you also to the Gravedigger, Ivan Woods for preparing Dad’s final resting place.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation.
