Acknowledgement

The family of the late Norman Reid wish to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to everyone who supported and sympathized with us following the death of our dear husband, father and grandfather.
We are deeply grateful to all who attended the wake and funeral, and for all the kindness and compassion received through the many messages, phone calls, sympathy cards and flowers. These acts of love and support brought us comfort during this sad and difficult time.
A heartfelt thanks to the consultant oncologists and doctors in the South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen and Altnagelvin Hospital in Londonderry who cared for Norman with compassion and consideration during his illness. We also thank the Marie Curie nurses and the Palliative Care team, who guided us through the final few short weeks of Norman’s life and provided comfort and care during that time.
We would also extend our gratitude to Dr Haire and the staff of Castlederg Surgery who provided exceptional support throughout Norman’s life, as well as the exceptional carers from Derg Valley Care who looked after Norman with respect and dignity.
We are sincerely grateful to Reverend Claire Henderson and Canon Peter Ferguson for their pastoral care and comfort throughout Norman’s illness and death. The family were much comforted by their attention to detail and the beautiful funeral service, accompanied by organist Susan Young, was greatly appreciated. Thanks, are also due to the ladies of the Church, who provided such a fitting funeral tea after the burial.
Thanks to all who prepared Norman’s final resting place.
Finally, thanks to Armstrong’s Funeral Directors for the professional and dignified manner in which the funeral was carried out – your kindness and guidance were greatly appreciated.
It would be impossible to thank everyone individually, so please accept this acknowledgement as a sincere and heartfelt appreciation to all who helped in any way during our sad time of bereavement.
Norman was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered always by wife Olive, children, Rhonda, Clive, Jason and the wider family circle.
