Acknowledgement / Month’s Mind Mass
Orla McLaughlin
We, the family of the late Orla McLaughlin, who passed away on 28th July, 2026, together with her partner, Eugene Devine, would like to sincerely thank everyone who offered sympathy, kindness and support following the loss of Orla, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, partner, niece and friend.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended Orla’s wake and funeral, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards and messages of condolence, helped at the wake, offered support in so many ways, and shared kind and thoughtful tributes to Orla on social media. It was clear how much she was loved and how deeply she touched the lives of so many. We also extend a special word of thanks to the Bentley group and the staff of the Magnet Bar for the way they looked after us.
We offer a heartfelt thank you to our extended family for their incredible support. Your presence, kindness and help carried us through an incredibly sad time, and we will always be grateful.
We would also like to express our gratitude to the medical professionals at Aberfoyle Medical Practice who cared for Orla over the years.
Our sincere thanks to Fr Declan McGeehan, who celebrated a beautiful Requiem Mass. His words about Orla touched us deeply. We are also grateful to Sinead Burnside and Isabelle Caldwell for their singing and music, which added so much to the Mass and the celebration of Orla’s life.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Bradley & McLaughlin Funeral Directors and their team for their kindness, professionalism and support throughout the wake and funeral. Their guidance and attention to detail were a great comfort to our family during such a difficult time.
Finally, the prayers, kindness and sympathy shown by so many people have been a great comfort to our family. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a sincere expression of our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude.
Orla’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown, on Saturday 29th August at 6.30pm.
Everyone is welcome.
