Paddy’s partner Gillian, his son Christopher and his brothers and sisters Tony, Sean, Bobby, Anne, Briege Sinéad and Eileen wish to acknowledge with grateful appreciation the kind expressions of sympathy, love and support shown to them during their recent sad bereavement.

Paddy was well known, and this was evident in the amount of people who called to the house, sent cards, messages, made donations, and brought provisions. You were there to support us all when we needed it most, we thank you all. To all Paddy’s neighbours and friends who willingly gave of their time to help us out during the wake, making sure there was always a hot meal and a listening ear when we needed it, we will be forever grateful for your kindness.

To all those who attended the funeral, some travelling great distances or indeed the many people who watched online, it gave us great comfort in knowing that so many people cared for Paddy in his lifetime.

We would like to thank Father Brian Slater and Dean Kevin Donaghy for conducting the requiem mass, and to Father Boyle for his prayers. Special thanks to Nuala, Briege, Cathal and Stephen for the beautiful singing and music during the service, it brought great comfort to us all.

We are eternally grateful to Mickey Brennan and Fenella Turkington for all their help in recent times.
Thank you to Joanna Loughran and all the staff at Niall A Loughran Funeral Directors for the compassionate, professional, and dignified way Paddy’s wake and funeral were carried out. We would also like to thank the grave diggers who prepared Paddy’s resting place with great care.

Thanks to the Emergency Services for their assistance, your compassion and professionalism were greatly appreciated.
Thanks to Mickey McElhatton and the staff at the Greenvale Hotel for providing food after the funeral.

As it would not be possible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a small gesture of our sincere appreciation.

Paddy’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 23rd December at 10am in Holy Trinity Church Cookstown and can also be viewed using the link below.

When he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night.
