Paddy Houlahan
The family of Paddy Houlahan wish to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to all who supported them following the sad loss of their much loved father, grandfather, brother and brother-in-law.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our relatives, friends and neighbours who attended the wake and funeral Mass and for the kindness shown through messages, condolences, phone calls and cards. Your support, and the fond memories you shared, brought great comfort at a difficult time.
A special word of thanks to those who helped care for Paddy in Greenpark Nursing Home. Paddy was very content there and treated with dignity, compassion and respect over his final few months. Thank you to those who cared for him previously in Fairlawns Care Home, and to the carers from Clogher Valley Care who attended him when he was still living at home.
Thanks to Fr. David Nugent for the personal and meaningful funeral Mass. Thank you to Cathy Kelly and Sara Jane Kelly for the beautiful singing and accompaniment. And a special thank you to Muireann Harraghy and to Mallaidh and Cormac for the beautiful music.
Thank you also to Armagh Harps GFC and to Paddy's old friends for the Guard of Honour. A special thank you to Adrian Clarke for his words at the graveside.
We are also grateful to Armagh Harps Social Club for the equipment to help us at home during the wake and for the use of the hall following the funeral. The food was provided by Tony Arthurs (Our T's).
We thank Martin Kelly Funeral Directors for the dignified, caring and personal manner in which the wake and funeral were carried out.
We are deeply grateful to all who brought gifts of food to the house and to family and friends who helped make and serve tea and refreshments during the wake. Your help and kindness were greatly appreciated.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a sincere expression of our gratitude.
Paddy's Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Monday 21st September at 7.30pm in St. Malachy's Chapel, Armagh.
