Pastor Richard McBURNEY
The family of the late Pastor Richard McBurney wish to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with them on the loss of a much-loved husband, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, Pastor and friend to many.
We are deeply grateful to all those who attended the funeral, from near and far, called to the home, sent cards and messages of condolence. Our heartfelt thanks also to all the family, Church family, friends and neighbours who supported and prayed for us during this difficult time, and to those who have given donations to the Macmillan Unit at Antrim Area Hospital. All of which have been greatly appreciated.
A sincere thank you to Dr. Gary Field and the staff at Antrim Castle Surgery for their dedicated and diligent care during Richard’s illness. Thanks also to the medical teams at the Bridge Water Suite and Ward 7 North in Belfast City Hospital, Antrim Area Hospital and the specialist team in the Macmillan Unit who so lovingly and diligently cared for Richard. A special thank you to Chaplain, Tom Wonnacott who faithfully visited and prayed with Richard.
A special word of thanks to Pastor Ryan Holmes for his prayerful support, love and ministry to Richard and the family during his illness, and following his home call.
Many thanks to the Pastors and congregation of the Whitewell Metropolitan Tabernacle for the use of their building for the funeral service. Special thanks to Pastor Edwin Michael, Pastor Ryan Holmes and Pastor Stephen Campbell for their part in the funeral service.
Grateful thanks also, to Baird’s of Antrim Funeral Directors, particularly Jackie, for his compassion, support and professionalism in which he carried out the funeral arrangements.
We thank God for the assurance that Richard is now with his Saviour Jesus Christ and free from all suffering. “ …in Thy presence there is fullness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Psalm 16:11.
