The death has occurred of:
Patrick Gormley
We the parents and sister of the late Patrick would like to thank everybody who sympathised with us during our recent and very sad loss of our only son and brother.
A heartfelt thank you to all our close friends, family members, the community and first responders who helped bring Patrick home and to everyone who helped us throughout the wake at such a difficult time.
Thanks to those who sent flowers, mass cards, sympathy cards, mass bouquet cards and letters and to those who brought food and dinners.
Thank you to everyone who attended who travelled long distances to attend the wake and funeral including Patrick’s university friends and Newcastle friends - your presence and prayers were very much appreciated by us.
We would like to thank Fr David O’Kane for his spiritual support and for celebrating Patrick’s Requiem Mass and his evocative homily. Thank you to Jude and Moira for preparing the chapel for the funeral.
Many thanks to Kellie McLaughlin and Stephen McKeever for the lovely singing, the readers and lay ministers, Sean Mullan for preparing the final resting place, Peach & Passion catering for the lovely refreshments after the funeral.
We would like to acknowledge anyone who kindly donated to Aware N.I in memory of Patrick.
Thank you to Seamus, Deborah & the staff of McLaughlin funeral directors for their sensitivity in carrying out the wake and funeral arrangements.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually we hope you will accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deepest appreciation.
Patrick’s Month Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 20th September 2025 in Saint Patrick’s Church, Claudy at 6.30pm.
Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
