Acknowledgement.
Patrick Monaghan, Fintona, Co Tyrone.
Died 5th July 2025.

Pat passed away peacefully on the 5th July. He was a widely respected gentleman, and a devoted family man. Adored father of Leanne and loving grandfather of Aoife. Much loved brother of Kitty, Joe, Johnny, Kevin, Michael and the late Mary Alice and Bernie, brother in law of Joe, uncle and friend. We, his family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.

Thank you to those who called to the wake in Grianan House Funeral Home, brought food or helped, this was greatly appreciated.
Our thanks also to those who sent Mass or sympathy cards, messages, flowers or donations in lieu, lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Requiem Mass.

We are blessed to have had the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, your support throughout this difficult time has helped us in so many ways.

A special word of thanks to Father Seán Mulligan for his spiritual support and the very comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, our singer Sinead Taggart and her accompanist Plunkett McGartland who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Tommy for preparing Pat’s final resting place. Thanks also to Roisin of Nettles and Petals for the beautiful floral tributes, and to the St Patrick’s Hall ladies for the most welcome refreshments after the burial.

And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to the staff of the Omagh Hospital Palliative Ward for caring for Pat in his final days, we are very grateful for the kindness and respect shown to him.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Pat is loved and missed every day. May his passionate, kind, generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. His Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Lawrence’s Church, Fintona on Saturday 2nd August at 10am. Our Lady pray for him.
