Patrick (Patsy/Paddy) O'Neill

O'Neill (21 Cargin Road, Toome) 14th January 2026, peacefully in hospital, Patrick (Patsy/Paddy). Beloved husband of Betty, loving father of Sharon, Mary Jo (Pearson), Margaret Rose (Robinson), Nuala (Hutchinson), Joseph and the late Hugh. Father-in-law to Terence, Chris, Liam, Peter and Teresa, son of the late Joseph and Anne Marie, loving brother to Mary Anne Kelly, Christine Hughes, Danny, Martha Gilmore, Margaret McKernan and Teresa who died in infancy, loving grandfather of Laura, Michelle, Hugh, Lisa, Emma, Bronagh, Katelyn, Liam, Sara, Francis and Kacey.

Paddy was a renowned Hay/Straw dealer and a long distance lorry driver for most of his life, working for McBurney Transport, Lagan Transport and McLornan Transport.


His wake will commence in his residence on Thursday 15th January at 7.00pm, where his remains will leave on Saturday 17th January at 1.00pm to Sacred Heart Church, Cargin for 1.30pm Requiem Mass. Interment immediately afterwards in Adjoining cemetery.

Due to parking restrictions at the home a bus shuttle service will be running from The Sacred Heart Church's carpark to the house.
Family time 10.00pm to 10.00am

Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.  

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, son, daughters, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, brother, sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and wider family circle.
