The death has occurred of:
Patrick McCARNEY
McCarney, Patrick (72 Beechill Park West)
The wife, daughters, sons, brother and extended family circle of the late Patrick McCarney would like to thank all those who sympathised with them on their recent bereavement. To those who sent mass & sympathy cards, letters, text messages, posted tributes on social media, and to the many people who attended & helped at the wake, brought food to the house, and attended the funeral, it was much appreciated.
Our grateful thanks also to the many Health Care Professionals who cared for Pat, especially during these last few years. We would specifically mention his many carers at Connected Health Care and the Belfast Trust Homecare team, to Roy from Primecare & Gerry and ‘G’ from Crossroads. The social work team, District Nursing team, the advanced nurse practitioner and the Out of Hours district nursing staff attached to Knockbreda Health and Wellbeing centre for their care, compassion and support given to both Pat and the wider family circle. Special thanks also to the 'Hospital at Home team' from Musgrave Park who enabled Pat to remain at home during his various bouts of illness, thus enabling him to receive the care and attention of his family without having to be admitted to hospital. For this the family will be eternally grateful. Thanks also to Peter and the staff at Oriel Pharmacy for their attention to detail and for the flexibility they showed, and to the Doctors and staff at North Parade Surgery for their kindness and support throughout Pat’s journey.
To Father Brendan Hickland P.P. for his pastoral visits, for his sensitivity, caring and comforting prayers and for the continuous support he provided to the family. For his delivery of the funeral Mass and for his consoling homily and prayers at the burial service, we thank him sincerely. Our gratitude also to the Eucharistic Ministers, to the folk group, the soloist, and for the beautiful instrumental performed by Conchubhar Ó Beagloich.
Our very special thanks to all the staff at O’Kane Funeral Directors, and to the gravedigger, for their professional manner, for their attention to detail, guidance, advice, sensitivity and support to the family and the dignified way in which they conducted Pat’s funeral. Finally, our thanks to the staff at Drumlins Restaurant who provided such a beautiful funeral lunch.
As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation and thanks. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
Months Mind Mass in Good Shepherd Church, Ormeau Road, Belfast on Sunday 20th September at 12.30pm.
Our Lady of Knock pray for him.
