We, the family of the late Pearse Colgan, beloved husband of Mary (RIP), would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised and supported us during our recent bereavement.
Our sincere thanks to our extended family, neighbours and friends who have supported us in countless ways during the most difficult of times. Thanks to all who organised and helped at the wake, providing food, managing traffic, making tea and to the local businesses and neighbours who sent us food.
Thank you to all who attended the wake, sent cards, floral tributes, posted messages of support on social media.
Our appreciation to, the carers and the doctors and nurses in Daisy Hill Hospital for their professionalism and kindness in his final days.
Thank you to Fr. Myles Murray, for his spiritual support, pastoral care and the beautiful requiem mass, your tribute to Dad gave us great comfort. Our thanks to Fr. Sean Cahill for his support and prayers at the Wake. Our family would like to thank Dad’s lifelong friend Fr. Nicky Hennity for his love and support to both of our parents throughout their lives.
Thank you to Linda Gawley for the beautiful music and singing at the funeral and all who participated in Dads funeral mass. And to all who attended the funeral in person or online.
Thank you to Nicky Doran, Paul Doran and Paul Lively (Nicholas Doran Funeral Directors) for their guidance, support and kindness to us and the dignified and professional manner they conducted Dad’s funeral arrangements. And our gratitude to the gravediggers who prepared Dad’s final resting place.
To the staff of the Kilkeel Golf Club for the funeral lunch, our sincere gratitude to you all.
To our friends at An Riocht and Cunninghams Butchers your support during the wake of our Father will forever be appreciated. Thank you to Kelly McCabe for the beautiful flowers.
As it would not be possible to thank everyone individually, please accept this as a token of our appreciation for all you have done for our family. The holy sacrifice of mass will be offered for your intentions.
Finally, to a very loved Father, Husband, Grandfather, Brother and friend, we were so honoured to have you in our lives, you have left us with a lifetime of memories.
