Nelson, Peggy - 22nd June 2025.

The Family of the late Peggy Nelson would like to express their sincere thanks to all of those who sympathised with them in their recent very sad bereavement.

Special thanks to The Oaks Centre, who attended Peggy over the years. Also thanks to the District Nurses who were all very kind and dedicated to Peggy. A massive thank you to all the Homecare Trust ladies who looked after Peggy daily and always made her happy and made each other smile. Many thanks to Brenda and Julie from Ann's Home Care, who provided night sit cover. A huge thanks to Moneymore Pharmacy, Stephen and all the Staff who helped in so many ways - right up until the end, for all of Peggy’s needs. Thanks to Marie Curie Nurses for their help and support.

We as a Family would really like to praise Magherafelt Day Centre for letting Peggy attend the centre daily, having the enjoyment of somewhere fun to go every day and meeting lots of friends, the Staff were so kind and made her smile. Thanks to Out and About Transport and the drivers from the Centre for taking Peggy to the Centre.

A kind thanks to all the Staff at Altnagelvin Hospital who cared for Peggy during her treatments and made her feel so relaxed. Finally, a huge thank you to her dear friend- Irene, Valarie, Jean and Olive who looked after Peggy over the years and the final few weeks at home.

Sincere thanks to Rev Ian Jamieson for visiting Peggy in her home in Moneymore, right up till her final few days and for conducting the beautiful service in Derryloran Parish Church and at the graveside. Thank you to the organist for the beautiful music in the Church and to Edith Blair for providing and serving the beautiful food in the Church hall afterwards.

Heartfelt thanks to all those who sent cards, phone calls, messages, those who helped with the tea making, provided refreshments, attended the wake and funeral service from near and far. A huge thank you for all the kind donations to date to "Charis Cancer Care" in Peggy’s loving memory, a place she truly loved to attend.

Finally, a very special thank you to Helen and all the Staff at D. Watters Funeral Services, for the endless support, care and compassion shown to us as a Family and for the dignified and professional manner in which all the arrangements for Peggy's funeral were carried out.

We trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation and thanks to everyone.
