Petesy Gavin R.I.P
The family of the late Petesy Gavin wish to express our heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude to all who sympathised with us during the recent sad bereavement of our loving father, grandfather, husband and brother.
We are so grateful to our wider family, friends and neighbours for their kindness, love and support. We want to acknowledge all those that called out to the house, telephoned, sent mass and sympathy cards, messages, flowers and to all those who attended the wake and funeral. Your thoughtfulness brought us great strength, comfort and resolve at such a difficult time for the family.
A special thanks must go to the Belfast City Hospital Cancer Ward 2B, Coalisland District nurses, Stewartstown Medical Centre, Kelly’s Chemist, Stewartstown, The Marie Curie staff and the wider community palliative care team for their professional and compassionate care and attention given to Petesy. It will never be forgotten. As a family we would also like to recognise the compassion, warmth and top quality care provided by Alison Dillon during Petesy’s time of need. We would also like to thank all those that helped prepare the house for Petesy’s final place of rest.
Thank you also to Clonoe GAA club and Brocagh Camogie, St Vincent De Paul and to everyone who brought food and equipment to the house. We would also like to thank Kelly Ann Corr for the beautiful food and refreshments after the funeral and for the Washing Bay Centre who made their facilities available to us. The unwavering generosity of so many people far and wide has been overwhelming and deeply appreciated.
We offer a sincere thanks to Patsy and Edel of Taggart Funeral Services for the warm, caring, professional and dignified way they carried out the funeral arrangements and the expert guidance and support they provided to our family throughout.
We are also especially grateful to Canon Benny Fee for his unrelenting support and warmth in the family’s time of need in recent months. It has been greatly appreciated and welcomed. We would like to thank Siobhan Robinson for her beautiful music and voice during the requiem mass. A special note of thanks to the Gravediggers who prepared Petesy’s final resting place.
As a family we are truly overwhelmed by the support and love from so many people including those who travelled so far to pay their respects. It is an impossible task to thank everyone individually for all they have done for us. We hope that you can accept this a true expression of our appreciation to each and every one of you. It will stay with us forever.
Petesy’s months mind mass will take place St Patrick’s Church, Clonoe at 19.30pm on Thursday 13th November with refreshments in Castlebay Community Centre, Brocagh after the mass.
