Philomena (Phyllis) McSorley (née McGirr)
McSorley, Philomena (Phyllis), neé McGirr, Fintona, Co Tyrone, of 12 Tattymoyle Road, Fintona BT78 2NR died peacefully on Thursday 30th April 2026 in Craigavon Area Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Brian (B J). Devoted mother of Martin, Bernie McQuillan and the late Kieran. Mother-in-law of Mary (neé Whiteford), Stephen and Donna (neé Gallagher). Loving and devoted grandmother of Beth, Alannah, Niall, Brian, Conor, Grace, Ronan and Niamh. Cherished sister of Peter, Eileen and the late Francis, Fr. Michael, Paddy, Kevin, Charles, Mary and Isabel.
Phyllis will be reposing in her late residence from 3pm until 9pm each day on Friday 1st May 2026 and Saturday 2nd May 2026.
Phyllis will leave her late residence at 11.00am on Sunday 3rd May 2026 for 11.30am requiem Mass in St. Lawrence’s Church,
Fintona, followed by her burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

For those who wish to show a presence on the funeral route Phyllis will travel from the Tattymoyle Road and along the Lisdergan Road, to arrive at St. Lawrence’s Church at 11.15am.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving son, daughter, daughter in-laws, son in-law, grandchildren, brother, sister, nephews, nieces and entire family circle and friends. Our Lady pray for her.
